Round the world holidays in 90 days
Round the world holidays (in more than 90 days please)
I would love, love, love to go on round the world holidays. Really, really love to. However, I'm not sure I could do round the world holidays in 90 days. Too much world, too much culture, too much good art and good food and good people, I couldn't possibly be satisfied with cramming it all into 90 days! Well, I might be...it'd be better than nothing, that's for sure! But I'd rather take round the world holidays over the course of a year, ideally staying in each place for at least a few weeks. I realize that this greatly limits the number of places that I could visit in round the world holidays, if I insist on spending that long in each place. I could maybe visit up to twenty different places (and even that might be stretching it a little). I suppose I could push it to two weeks each, but I'd really rather three or four. Of course, I could just do more than one round the world holidays. That would be awesome! Of course then there is the issue of taking multiple years off (not necessarily in a row) which I would like to be able to do, and I wouldn't mind having a job that I could take with me, but that could get complicated. Also, being married to someone who may or may not have that much job flexibility could be an issue. But then I suppose we will just have three months over the summer every year (which wouldn't be so bad really. we just wouldn't go as many places as we would in a year, assuming he feels as I do about traveling on round the world holidays, which if he doesn't we'll just iron out some kind of compromise). Or we could do round the world holidays not all at once, but as a lifetime adventure. Instead of trying to visit the world all at once and spending the rest of our lives remembering, why not visit the world a piece at a time, so there is always more of the world right in front of us for us to remember, always another piece of our round the world holidays to be holiday-ing and enjoying (I think I may have just made up a word there).
Lifetime round the world holidays
Yessiree, I think we may have just posited the solution for this holiday equation. And really, a lifetime of travel, exploration, discovery, learning, and adventure is much more my style anyway. And I can probably convince my fiance the same. Oh the joy of living the round the world holidays lifestyle you dream of. Of course we aren't living it yet. But I am clinging to that word: yet.
